Cradle of the Ancients was an Oceania Cruise that started in Rome and ended in Athens 21 days later. Our first stop was in the beautiful coastal city which was founded around 339 BC as a trading post and has a rich Maritime history for over 1800 years. Much of the day was spent along the coast taking in the beautiful coastal landscape and homes. It doesn't take long to see why Amalfi is a World Heritage site.
Any visit to Amalfi should include a visit to Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea whose construction started around 987 AD and its size and appearance evolved over hundreds of years.
I hope you enjoy this collection of images.
